- Dreame teases its first production EV ahead of CES 2026 debut.
- Design now echoes Bugatti’s rare Brouillard instead of Chiron.
- Chinese startup also plans a Cullinan-style SUV arriving in 2027.
The Chinese electronics brand Dreame stirred excitement earlier this year with images of a four-door coupe that closely resembled a prominent Bugatti hypercar. Days before its debut at CES in Las Vegas, updated photos reveal a shift in inspiration to another Bugatti model.
Initial previews presented an unmistakable likeness to the Chiron, but now, the car takes cues from the Bugatti Brouillard, a one-off coupe linked to the 2022 Mistral. Both the Brouillard and Mistral share the Chiron chassis but exhibit distinct design differences.
Although these three new images do not show the front end, we can’t determine if the Bugatti-style horseshoe grille from earlier renders remains intact.
However, the segmented front daytime running lights (DRLs) closely resemble those found on the Brouillard. The combination of metallic green paint and black lower body sections mirrors a similar aesthetic seen on Bugatti vehicles, which seems intentional.
Additional similarities noted in the images from China’s IT Home include replacing the iconic Chiron C-shape curvy design on the sides with a smaller kink descending into a swage line that travels through the middle of the doors.
Less Bugatti, more Dreame
This latest iteration of Dreame’s first vehicle appears to diverge from being a mere Bugatti imitation. However, rear design variations, such as different light configurations and a bolt-on spoiler rather than an integrated choice, show a significant evolution. The four-door format positions it more as a competitor to the Porsche Taycan than to a Bugatti.
While official specifications remain unavailable, Chinese media speculate the vehicle may exceed 986 hp (1,000 PS), feature refrigerant-based cooling for the electric drivetrain, and achieve 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 1.8 seconds.
This speculation is, at present, unconfirmed. Earlier reports mentioned the availability of both range-extender hybrid and pure electric configurations, yet one certainty remains: this car will not lack speed.
Aiming at Rolls Royce
The still-unnamed car is part of Dreame Auto’s Starry Sky Plan, with production aimed for 2027. The strategy includes developing ultra-high-performance vehicles alongside large luxury models. The brand has already showcased a large SUV resembling a Rolls Royce Cullinan, also set to launch in 2027.
To illustrate the design’s evolution, earlier renders from September are included in the gallery below. The prior designs provide a clear contrast to the current concept, highlighting just how far the vision has been redirected.
