If you’re a Porsche 911 GT3 owner seeking new street or track tires, there’s exciting news from Pirelli. The company has unveiled two specialized versions of its P Zero R and P Zero Trofeo RS, each uniquely crafted for the latest GT3 model.

These tires aim to push the performance limits of what is one of Porsche’s most engaging, driver-focused vehicles.

Starting with the P Zero R, this tire is centered on road performance. Pirelli has engineered a new compound specifically tailored for the 911 GT3, designed to deliver outstanding grip across various surfaces and conditions, including wet weather.

The P Zero R boasts a broad operating temperature range. Notably, the structure differs between the front and rear tires. This design choice enables exceptional steering precision at the front while providing enhanced control at the rear.

Then there’s the P Zero Trofeo RS, crafted for maximum track performance. Pirelli was commissioned to create these custom Trofeo RS tires for the 911 GT3 RS, and they applied insights from that model to develop new rubber for the standard GT3.

All Pirelli tires made specifically for Porsche carry the N designation, signifying their tailored nature. No details on pricing have been disclosed yet, but considering the brand and market segment, significant cost savings seem unlikely.

Pirelli has indicated it relied heavily on virtualization tools in the development process, which has reduced both time and prototype use by roughly 30 percent. Whether this increased efficiency will translate to a more favorable final price remains to be seen.
